Heritage Pages
Scrapbook Backgrounds
Step 1: Select your choice of heritage background pages in either 8.5 x 11" (A4 ) or 12 x 12" and download.
Step 2: Click on the file you would like to print. It will open as a Word document.
Step 3: Create photo boxes and insert your photo(s).* You can add a title or journaling if you'd like. You can type your personalised header in the font style, size and colour of your choice.
Step 4: Your digital heritage page is now complete and you are ready to print your page. Just remember to choose the correct paper size and paper type setting in your page setup.
Step 5: To further embellish your scrapbook pages, click on the embellishment of your choice and download. It will open as a Word document. For tags, click on the journaling area, as marked with “type your caption here" and customise your message. You can change the font style, size and colour of the text you would like to add into the journaling section or for simplicity, use the style, size and colour provided. Print on A4 size Epson Paper.
Step 6: Use a craft knife or scissors to cut out your embellishments and tags. You can use foam dots to mount them to your page to add extra dimension.
Scrapbook Project:
Step 1: Download the heritage scrapbook template in either 8.5 x 11" (A4) or 12 x 12".
Step 2: Click on the heritage scrapbook template file. It will open as a Word document.
Step 3: Insert your photo(s).*
Step 4: Add your customised text for the header by highlighting the area marked “type your heading here.” Once it is highlighted, you can type your personalised header in the font style, size and colour of your choice. For simplicity, you can also choose to use the style, size and colour provided.
Step 5: Now click on the journaling area, as marked with “type your text here.” As with the header, you can change the font style, size and colour of the text you would like to add into the journaling section. If you want to change the background colour of the area behind the journaling area simply click on the box behind the journaling area. From the Drawing toolbar click the arrow next to Fill Colour. Pick the colour you'd like, or click Fill Effects, and then choose the Gradient, Texture, or Pattern for a different effect.
Step 6: Your personalising is complete so you’re ready to print your page. Remember to choose the correct paper size and
paper type setting in your page setup.
* To insert a photo: Open a new blank document. Insert photo from file or CD. Select photo by clicking on it.
Under "Format" select "Format Picture". Select the "Layout" tab, then select "in front of text". This will cause your photo to be in front of any text or graphic in your layout. Copy the photo and paste into your layout. Use the "corner grippers" to resize the graphic, and click and drag the graphic to the appropriate spot in your layout. There's no need to save the blank document - just keep it open if you need to insert any more photos.
Please select the appropriate file (located on the right) to download. These are self-extracting archives that contain the templates and instructions needed for this project. Simply save the file to your desktop and double-click to open.
